What a thing we have done yes? Bask in this afterglow of a job well done. Be tired. Be sore. Be happy. Know that together, collectively we touched a few hundred lives on Saturday who walked through our gates. They came for a pie fight. Infused with intention, and filled with a happy festive spirit, we gave them much more. The pictures speak volumes for the Joy we created for them and the joy they mirrored back in return.
I want to thank and name each of you individually, but for fear of leaving anyone out – accept my deepest most humble gratitude for the piece each of you played in making this dream a reality. The New EQUATION for peace shows us clearly that we are the infinite numbers and that each one is significant in the stream of an expanding circle of awareness. None more important than the other. The tiniest role plays a part.
I have said it before and I must say it again…I had a simple dream with merely an idea….”have a pie fight on pi day”. The rest of it manifested from all the little conversations that came along the way. Each of you – added a little recipe and ingredient or inspired a deeper thought that lead us all to create the collective dream of Peace. I am on my knees every night, having learned more about the power of dreams of humanity. I am forever in your debt – feeling a purpose emerging from the mulch of intention. I know not where this leads…..but will endeavor forever to serve something greater than myself for the betterment of our community and our world.
A few of my favorite moments. Kneeling before a child with two big pies…and discovering their intent. Hearing the wisdom of their innocence amplified, echoing across the field. Seeing people mix and share the color of their pie to make it more colorful. Walking around the circle with two little boys who were afraid to get messy, or to hit their mom with a pie when she wanted them too….talking about how the spirit of God was in this peace pi and that it made people happy. 20 minutes later – Mom was covered in Purple pie. To leave the field with security and go to the neighborhood kids, who did not have money enough to come play…and walking them back to the field for a day of celebration. Feeling the true archetypal spirit of a Pi’ed Piper, my heart singing a happy tune. Hugging. Holding people heart to heart in appreciation. Old friends who traveled from afar, and new friends who appeared. The jacket i wore – with layers of colored pie directly targeted directly over my heart. Every moment meaningful.
May you all sleep well and forever be changed by this tiny miracle we shared together.
